Houthi-Yemeni military expert Brigadier-General Abdul Ghani Al-Zubaidi explained on a January 25, 2024 show on Al-Alam TV (Iran) how Yemen’s geography allows it to reach various targets. He said that Yemenis can hit targets at sea from the land and close the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. Al-Zubaidi further said that Yemen can target military bases in the Gulf as well the interests of the U.S., Britain, and any other country that "participated in the aggression" against Yemen.

Brig.-Gen Abdul Ghani Al-Zubaidi: "In military terms, Yemen's geography enables you to shoot towards the sea from the land and to close the Bab el-Maneb Strait. You can even target military bases in the Gulf, or American and British interests, as well as the interests of any country that took part in the aggression against Yemen, wherever they are."
